Greetings Chroniclers! I want to especially welcome everyone finding us through Tumblr! We had a lot of new followers stop by this past week and let me personally welcome you all!

Now, let's take a look at this week's Half-Elves!

Half-Elf Fighter

Half-Elf Fighter

First up is the Half-Elf Fighter! If you're reading the comic (and if not, why not!?) then you'll recognize this guy as our resident Guildmaster, Thalin. This a younger Thalin, from his days as The Lone Wolf, the infamous thief and adventurer.

Thalin is another example of a half-elf who identified with his human side. Thalin was raised by his human mother, Ayn in Lower Haven. During the time he is drawn in here, he spent time with the desert rangers know as the Arkari who are mostly human. He learned their dual sword techniques and was gifted a pair of scimitars which he fights with to this day.

So, a thief with ranger fighting techniques? Why is he listed as a fighter? Well, when I gave him stats, I gave him fighter levels for the feats. He's as much a dexterity fighter as he is a rogue. (Plus, the half-elf rogue will be female!)

Half-Elf Monk

Half-Elf Monk

Next up is the Half -Elf Monk. This monk belongs to the same monastic order of Vrae, the god of balance and order, that the Elf Monk belongs to. So, here we have a half-elf who identifies more with her elven side. She finds peace and joy in the balance of nature and the world around her.

This monk would adventure to look for greater understanding of the Great Order and to help others find that understanding as well.

That's it for this week's Character Codex! Stay tuned for more entries, we only have 27 more to go!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for more Thalin action in Chronicle!

Character Codex - Round 17 - Halfling Fighter and Monk

Greetings Chroniclers! Welcome to the Character Codex!

We're working our way through all 77 race/class combinations in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook.  We're showing off the Halfling Fighter and Monk today.  Normally I do the Paladin in this batch but I've been under the weather and ran out of time. I'll try to have three next week. If you've missed any previous entries you can catch up HERE!

Virtual tabletop players, make sure to pick up some free tokens suitable for use in any virtual tabletop environment.

Want to support the Character Codex? Have me draw your own personal RPG character!  RPG Character Sketches are inexpensive and a great way to show off your characters unique qualities.  You can find out more about that HERE!

Now, let's take a look at this week's Halflings!

Halfling Fighter

Halfling Fighter

The Halfling Fighter here is a staple that I wanted to put my style to... the Halfling Duelist. Why a fighter and not a rogue? One word... feats. This mid-level fighter is a flurry of thrusts and parries. She may be small but she's deadly.

Her style is patterned a bit after the illustrations in old dueling manuals. Gloves and doublet over flared long sleeves. The scarf is in line with the dashes of color that Chronicle's Halflings, better known as Caun, throw in.

Halfling Monk

Halfling Monk

For the Halfling Monk, I wanted to do something a but different. Typically, Halfling monks are depicted as nimble acrobats, tumbling between people's legs and tripping them up. The Caun of Chronicle are indeed nimble but they also like to have a good time! So I made my monk a Drunken Master!

I wanted to show that, yeah, this guy's drunk off his butt, yet at the same time he has the clarity of instinct that Drunken Masters in Kung Fu movies have. I had so much fun drawing this guy and am super pleased with how he turned out.

That's it for this week! Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter! Come back tomorrow for a new Chronicle!

Character Codex Round 12 - Gnome Fighter, Monk, and Paladin

Hey everyone!  Welcome back to another round of the Character Codex!  We're drawing our way through all 77 race/class combinations in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook.  We're showing off the Gnome Fighter, Gnome Monk,  and Gnome Paladin today.  If you've missed any previous entries you can catch up HERE!

Virtual tabletop players, make sure to pick up some free tokens suitable for use in any virtual tabletop environment.

Also, if you like what you see here please consider clicking the Tip Jar button down the page or sharing this on the social media site of your choosing.

And now, bring on the gnomes!

Gnome Fighter

Gnome Fighter

First up is the Gnome Fighter.  I wanted to do at least one of these based off of the classic "garden gnome."  So, I came up with the elite fighters, the Red Caps (named after another fairy creature).  The gnomes of Chronicle are the only ones who have figured gunpowder out, so they have access to renaissance era firearms.  But, since the Codex (for now) is only covering the Core Classes the Pathfinder Gunslinger is not available.  So, this guy is using his fighter feats to become a crack shot.

Next, we have the Gnome Monk.  This monk is a Ki Mystic, meditating to study the truth of existence.  I thought it would be interesting to give her a floating meditation cushion so that she could move about while still focusing her ki.  She has an ioun stone of wisdom above her head and an ioun stone that negates her need for  food and water on her headpiece.

Gnome Paladin

Gnome Paladin

Finally we have the Gnome Paladin.  The patron god of gnomes is Gib, the god of knowledge and magic.  So, I designed this guy to look like a knight who could cast a some magic as well.  Stat-wise, I think he would resemble the Knights of the Sacred Flame from Forgotten Realms.  They, too, are paladins of a god of magic.

The blue and purple are Gib's colors, representing knowledge and magic respectively.

That's it for this week!  Next week, we'll have the gnome ranger and rogue.  See you then!
