Created by the Bureau of Timekeeping at the Librarium Magnifica in Zendril, The Belanthosian Calendar is a solar calendar that divides the year into even months consisting of three tenday weeks. Once every six years the calendar is adjusted to account for an extra month's worth of days that has accumulated. This sixth year is known as a Year of the Dragon and has an extra month, Wyrm.

Though the longer lived races of dwarves and elves find the keeping of such short time spans tedious, the calendar has been adopted throughout Belanthos.
